1. Information Officer
Pierre Brand, pierre@aspigon209.co.za, 082 304 5793, 7 Klipdrift Road, Freeway Park, Boksburg, 1459.
2. What we collect
- Contact details: name, email address, phone number, business name, when you send an enquiry, buy something or subscribe.
- Business Health Check answers: the answers you give in the free questionnaire.
- Body Health Check information: account details and any preferences you enter to personalise meal plans. If you choose to enter information about your health, diet or allergies, we treat it as special personal information and use it only to provide the service.
- Surviving & Winning Daily progress: your cellphone number, the lessons you open and complete, quiz results, badges and the date you were last active. We use this to run the course and so that Pierre can contact you personally, by WhatsApp, phone or email, if you seem stuck or stop. Tell us if you would rather not be contacted.
- Payment information: Payfast sends us a payment confirmation, reference number, amount and your name and email. We do not receive or store card or bank account details.
- Client project information: information you share with us during consulting or development work.
- Aspigon209 AI chat: the messages you type into the AI chat on this website, the page you were on, and a one-way coded version of your IP address (not the address itself) used to prevent abuse. If you use "Ask Pierre to contact me", the name and contact details you give. Do not enter ID numbers, banking details or other sensitive information in the chat.
- Technical information: IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected by our hosting provider in server logs.
3. Why we use it
- To deliver the products and services you pay for, including download links and subscription access.
- To process payments and keep financial records required by law.
- To respond to enquiries and send quotes.
- To send service messages about your purchase or subscription.
- To send newsletters or offers, only if you agreed to receive them. Every such email has an unsubscribe option.
- To keep the site secure and working.
We process your information on the basis of your consent, to perform a contract with you, to comply with the law, or for our legitimate business interests.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with:
- Payfast, to process payments.
- Our website hosting and email provider, to run the site and send email.
- Anthropic (the provider of the Claude AI model), to generate replies in the Aspigon209 AI chat. Chat messages are sent to Anthropic for processing.
- Our accountant or tax practitioner, for bookkeeping and tax compliance.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
These parties must keep your information confidential and secure. Some service providers may store information on servers outside South Africa. Where that happens, we only use providers subject to data protection laws or agreements that give protection similar to POPIA.
5. Cookies and local storage
The site uses essential cookies and browser local storage to keep you logged in, remember your progress and make the site work. Payfast may set its own cookies during checkout. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, but some features may then stop working.
6. How we protect it
We use SSL encryption, password-protected access, and limit access to your information to what is needed to serve you.
7. How long we keep it
- Payment and invoice records: 5 years, as required by tax law.
- Subscription account data: while your subscription is active and for 12 months after it ends, then deleted or anonymised.
- Enquiries that do not become work: 12 months.
